Responsibilities
- Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure the security and safety of property and personnel.
- Conduct periodic patrols to identify irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
- Maintain order and enforce site regulations and directives regarding personnel, visitors, and premises.
- Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process.
- Patrol assigned sites on foot or by vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized individuals.
- Protect evidence or the scene of incidents during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
- Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other events.
- Prepare logs and reports as required.
Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods, including climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain.
- Frequent lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Must meet and maintain all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
