Brenntag North America is hiring a Section Manager to manage a sales section and drive profitable growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing marketing plans, monitoring market trends, and managing key accounts to achieve budgeted objectives.
What You'll Do
- Achieve optimum turnover and profit according to agreed budget and RBT.
- Generate and update marketing plans by identifying key customers/products, evaluating market size/trends, monitoring competitors, and recommending objectives.
- Implement and monitor marketing plans through the sales team and report progress to suppliers and direct Senior Industry Manager.
- Initiate regular market surveys to monitor trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Drive Business Development to capitalize on new opportunities to achieve maximum sales and profit growth.
- Ensure Key Accounts follow standard sales force management.
- Visit existing and potential key customers to provide service, achieve sales targets, and establish long-term relationships.
- Keep proper reports of customer visits and results.
- Monitor and control actual sales performance against budget.
- Ensure proper inventory levels and debtors position to minimize financial cost.
- Develop and manage the interface between the Business and Support Function suppliers to ensure smooth and punctual product flow.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Chemicals or chemical related majors.
- At least 3-5 years of sales experience in food ingredients or experience in food application.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
- Experience in the Meat & Seafood segment.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Senior Industry Manager and be responsible for managing a sales team.
