Lockheed Martin Canada is hiring a Second Line Manager to lead the Integrated Logistics Support team within our Engineering and Technology organization. You will provide functional support and day-to-day oversight for ILS professionals across all Rotary and Mission Systems sites, balancing technical program responsibilities with leadership duties in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This role requires a minimum of two days in the office per week at a major Lockheed Martin site.
What You'll Do
- Develop, evolve, and oversee the ILS vision and roadmap, including technology, methods, tools, metrics, and processes.
- Facilitate and ensure the technical vitality of the team to meet current and strategic requirements.
- Foster career development and employee growth for Program Leads, Functional Leaders, Individual Contributors, and Future Business Leaders.
- Establish and implement organizational training and development plans.
- Foster employee feedback, recognition, and engagement.
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders and ensure flow-down of tactical information and strategic vision.
- Implement hiring, recruiting, sizing, workshare, and retention initiatives to meet near- and long-term needs.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of ILS program performance.
- Ensure cost, schedule, and technical commitments are met for all ILS work products.
- Ensure appropriate Basis of Estimates are applied and manage identified risks and opportunities.
- Guide resolution of technical issues across programs.
- Deploy experts, best practices, and reuse of products, components, and infrastructure.
- Provide technology linkage and knowledge sharing across programs, E&T, and other Lockheed Martin functions.
- Manage staffing and resource allocation across programs to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Support E&T strategy development and implement continuous improvements, common processes, tools, products, infrastructure, and services.
- Support New Business Acquisition and Research and Development projects consistent with the ILS roadmap.
What We're Looking For

- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 12 years of overall experience in the naval defence field or industry.
- Detailed knowledge of overall ILS processes.
- Proven experience working on a large-scale engineering project.
- Project experience working with the Agile development process.
- Proven experience as a Level 1 engineering manager in the defence industry.
- An honest, open, respectful, team-oriented, and positive attitude.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead through change and ambiguous circumstances.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Lockheed Martin ILS tools and products, including Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330), Trainers, Reprogrammable Advanced Multimode Shipboard Electronic Countermeasures System (RAMSES), and Visual Interactive Simulation Training Application (VISTA).
