Directive is hiring a Search Engine Optimization Manager (Remote Mexico) - Future Opening

About the Role

Directive Consulting is looking for a Search Engine Optimization Manager to join our team. In this client-facing role (internally titled Content Marketing Strategist), you will be responsible for creating and managing custom strategies for Enterprise clients, focusing on the holistic impact of SEO on business marketing. You will work remotely from Mexico.

What You'll Do

  • Create custom SEO strategies and implement best practices for clients to achieve North Star Metrics (NSMs).
  • Build, optimize, and revise strategies using project phase, client marketing goals, campaigns, and historical performance data.
  • Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns based on competitor and audience insights.
  • Set and propose client goals using data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs.
  • Manage project execution using Asana, delegating tasks to team members and clients to ensure timely completion.
  • Partner with content writers and designers to complete content campaigns on time and to client quality standards.
  • Serve as the main client interface, building relationships and proactively communicating timeline expectations, goal progress, and roadblocks.
  • Report to clients bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annually on NSM progress and deliverables.
  • Regularly identify opportunities to grow client business through upselling, cross-selling, or securing referrals.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, link building.
  • Ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to own relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong familiarity with industry tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/crawling tools.
  • Proven organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content.
  • Must have agency experience.
  • Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with an Associate Director (AsD), content writers, designers, and specialists, reporting to the Associate Director.
