As a Search Engine Evaluator based in Japan, you'll play a key role in refining AI-powered search technologies by analyzing how search engines interpret real-world queries. This remote position allows you to work independently on a flexible schedule, dedicating between 5 and 40 hours per week according to your availability, with an average commitment of around 15 hours.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate the relevance and quality of search results generated by client systems in response to common user queries.
- Review various types of content—including text, audio, images, and video—to support the development of more accurate AI models.
- Complete assigned training and pass assessments to ensure alignment with client standards before beginning evaluation tasks.
- Consistently meet performance benchmarks for accuracy and reliability in your evaluations.
What We Need From You
- Current residence in Japan and legal eligibility to work remotely.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English, with at least B2-level proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with Japanese popular culture, media, and online trends.
- Access to a personal computer, smartphone, and stable internet connection.
- Reliable antivirus software installed on your devices.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 5 hours weekly, with flexibility to scale up as needed.
- Willingness to sign and comply with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
- Successful completion of required training and client-designed qualification tests.
- One evaluator per household; applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Compensation and Work Setup
You'll be compensated at a rate of up to 15 USD per hour (approximately 2300 JPY), paid via PayPal or direct bank transfer. This is a fully remote role with no fixed office location, allowing you to work from home on your own schedule within the defined weekly limits.
