About the Role

Peraton is hiring a Scrum Master to lead a team in successfully delivering working software products through an incremental, Agile approach. Your primary goal will be to guide the team, remove impediments, and champion the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team to success in delivering working software products through an incremental approach.
  • Remove impediments and champion the SAFe methodology.
  • Support the team during Program Increment Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retros.
  • Implement and continually improve SAFe Agile practices.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes.
  • Facilitate positive team dynamics to help maximize team performance.
  • Identify and remove impediments to help protect the team from outside influences.
  • Facilitate the Scrum Team's day-to-day activities.
  • Act as a servant leader to help maximize team efficiency by resolving impediments.
  • Help the Product Owner prepare the backlog, improve velocity, and ensure important Scrum artifacts are prepared.
  • Maintain project metrics, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Help the Team adopt agile methodology and leads process improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience; Master's and 6+ years; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in IT.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PI Planning, and Retros.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, PMI-ACP, or SAFe).
  • 1 year of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
  • Experience with software development management tools including JIRA.
  • Experience on a Team developing software in the Federal Government.

  • Compensation range: $112,000 - $179,000
