FEI Systems is hiring a Scrum Master to serve as an Agile leader for system teams that provide tooling and infrastructure for a DevSecOps framework. In this role, you will facilitate team and program events while coaching the team to improve processes and meet delivery goals.
What You'll Do
- Coach the team to create better solutions, improve business results, and enhance their processes.
- Facilitate team meetings, including Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Identify and remove impediments preventing the team from delivering value.
- Protect the team from outside distractions and interruptions.
- Track and communicate agreed-upon team metrics, ensuring progress is transparent to stakeholders.
- Coach the team on Scrum principles and practices to help them self-organize and continuously improve.
- Ensure clear communication between the team, the Product Owner, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate program events and coordinate with other Scrum Masters and teams in ART PI Planning meetings.
- Ensure the Development Team understands and maintains commitment to the Definition of Done (DoD).
- Provide oversight for compliance to organizational standards (Security, CMMI, etc.) and best practices.
- Assist in coordinating remediation to gaps in compliance.
- Assist the Product Owner in preparing and refining the backlog for PI and Iteration Planning.
- Help the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
- Coach the Product Owner to ensure Product Backlog Items are Ready for the Sprint Backlog.
- Foster normalized estimating within the team and adoption of Agile technical practices.
- Help teams operate under architectural and portfolio governance, System-level integration, and System Demos.
- Escalate team impediments to Leadership.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Scrum Master Certified (SSM, CSM, PSM) or similar.
- Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- 2+ years of experience engaging stakeholders, contributors, and technical resources to analyze user needs and resource limitations.
- 2+ years of experience facilitating complex, high-value IT delivery projects requiring coordination across multiple platforms.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software.
- Experience applying Lean Thinking in large organizations.
Nice to Have
- At least one SAFe certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Certification in another agile competency, such as product owner or developer.
- Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or other scaling models.
- Experience working within an IT and/or infrastructure environment.
