JustFOIA is hiring a Scrum Master to join our team. In this role, you will work to fulfill the project direction set by our product strategy team, translating vision into detailed requirements and working closely with development to deliver on specifications.
What You'll Do
- Act as the project subject matter expert for the development team.
- Understand, track, and balance project budget, scope, and timeline.
- Translate product strategy and vision into detailed requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to define and manage project scope.
- Get answers for the team to clarify details during development.
- Be aware of client commitments and communicate timelines internally.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize the backlog.
- Prioritize support work as needed.
- Manage dependencies in and across releases.
- Distribute information to stakeholders while managing expectations.
- Facilitate work across development teams for efficient, consistent completion.
- Lead backlog refinement to decompose and estimate stories.
- Drive iteration priorities via prioritized stories.
- Demonstrate the latest product to customers and gather feedback.
- Follow the defined Development Life Cycle of the project.
- Track project impediments and progress toward solving them.
- Be the subject matter expert for the Scrum Master process.
- Handle projects varying in size from $100 to $1,000,000.
- Run the Theory of Constraints daily on our processes to see how we improve.
- QA completed stories to ensure they meet the Definition of Done.
- Hold team accountable to processes.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience or a proven learning track.
- Ability to handle projects ranging from $100 to $1,000,000.
- Agile philosophy expert with an emphasis on the Scrum process and a deep understanding of agile methodologies.
- Ability to lead all Scrum ceremonies.
- Exceptional facilitation skills to guide teams through Scrum events and decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and create an atmosphere of trust.
- Skilled in risk management with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
- Strong organizational skills with applied practice in keeping teams on track to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and overcome obstacles.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and facilitate effective solutions.
Nice to Have
- Certification a plus (A-CSPO, A-CSM, PMI-ACP).
