Celerion is hiring a Scientist, Method Development to join our Ligand Binding Assay Development group. This role provides scientific expertise and method development skills, with a key component being the drive of innovation and change management to advance our bioanalytical science capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Undertake original and innovative research to develop ligand binding assays using state-of-the-art technologies for analyzing proteins, peptides, and antibodies in biological matrices.
- Perform assays (pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics/biomarkers, ADA) according to regulatory and quality systems.
- Analyze and interpret data, generate summary tables, troubleshoot assay performance, and peer‑review raw data for accuracy.
- Work effectively within and across teams to meet objectives under time constraints.
- Support the associate director in achieving business objectives, including innovation, change management, evaluation of new technology, and growth in market share and revenue.
- Develop methods by applying and interpreting scientific theories, concepts, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to study teams and other company areas to ensure timely project completion.
- Author scientific manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals and present research findings at scientific conferences.
- Participate and provide technical expertise during client calls and visits.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Proven proficiency in immunoassay development.
- Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one of the following: pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics/biomarkers, or ADA assay development.
- Understanding of FDA and ICH guidelines in method validation and sample analysis.
- Experience in one or more immunoassay techniques (Ligand Binding assay: ELISA, MSD, Gyrolab, AlphaLISA).
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills, capable of presenting to an audience of researchers from various disciplines.
- Ability to work well with a team and with staff in other locations.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- 5+ years of related scientific experience.
- CRO or industry experience.
- Prior experience working in a regulated GLP-compliant environment.
- Experience using Watson LIMS.
