APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Sand Plant Superintendent to lead safe, efficient, and productive operations of a sand plant site. In this role, you will be responsible for team development, strategic planning for mine and pit operations, and setting the standard for operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Oversee safe, efficient, and productive operations of our sand plant site.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a talented team—recruiting top staff and fostering a positive work environment.
- Drive results by analyzing operational data and implementing cost-saving, efficiency-boosting initiatives.
- Champion safety by collaborating with the Safety Department and ensuring full compliance with all policies.
- Maintain plant assets and oversee site rehabilitation and beautification projects.
- Strategically plan and direct mine and pit operations, optimizing site performance with environmental stewardship.
- Manage budgets, approve time records, and ensure all required personnel and resources are in place.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities, with a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Drive and flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions, including travel, overtime, nights, weekends, and varying weather.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and Fit for Work physical.
- Valid documentation for I-9 verification.
- Minimum age of 18 due to work environment requirements.
- Readiness to wear PPE and always follow OSHA/MSHA protocols.
