The Sales Representative for Pelvic Health at Medtronic will drive territory growth by managing strategic implanting centers and developing referral networks for InterStim and NURO therapies in the San Francisco area. This field-based role involves direct sales to physicians, institutions, and payors, focusing on sacral and percutaneous tibial neuromodulation solutions for incontinence conditions.
What You'll Do
- Manage territory base business and growth by initiating, supporting, and developing strategic implanting centers
- Assist in developing key referral networks
- In certain geographies, have primary responsibility for development of referral networks
- Act as primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory’s customer needs
- Handle account level reimbursement responsibility
- Coordinate all support activities
- Develop sales partnerships with distribution alliances
- Sell Interstim devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
- Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice
- Provide product and therapy technical support and service
- Consult on strategic management and analysis of trends
- Utilize appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth
- Perform other duties as assigned by sales leadership
- Drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
- Travel outside the territory for broader engagement
- Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and off-site meetings
- Drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory
- Undertake overnight travel as required
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years of experience
- OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience
- OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years of experience
- Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
- Valid driver's license
- Active vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory
- Must be able to reside within the territory
- U.S. work authorization at time of hire and for duration of employment (for roles below Principal level)
- Understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable
- Ability to follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work
Nice to Have
- Solid knowledge of the Reimbursement climate
- Experience calling on physicians in one or more of the following or related referral accounts: Neurology, Urology, Colo Rectal Surgeons
- Experience in developing new, innovative markets
- Experience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis
- Familiarity with the O.R.
- Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis
- Preferred knowledge of managed care
- Experience with Physiology/clinical therapies
- Experience with Implantable devices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills

- Preference will be given to local qualified candidates

Compensation: Base salary range of $65,000.00 - $65,000.00 USD across U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico and specific CA locations; varies by experience, education, market, and location). Eligible for Employee Stock Purchase Plan and Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), providing opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
Work Mode
Field-based position requiring residence within territory and frequent travel to customer sites; includes overnight travel. Location: San Francisco, CA.
