About the Role

Summit Business Group is hiring a Sales Representative to drive our direct sales efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing connections with business owners and key decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses through in-person sales calls and cold calling. You'll deliver product presentations, close sales, and build lasting client relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Plan your own work schedule and set your working hours each week.
  • Establish connections with business owners and key decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses within your sales territory through in-person sales calls.
  • Cold call business to business.
  • Spend the majority of your day out in the field, cold calling using our Custom Salesforce CRM.
  • Build rapport with potential clients and deliver compelling product presentations.
  • Close sales during initial meetings or schedule follow-up appointments for closure.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through prompt and effective communication, including responding to client calls, texts, and emails.
  • Address client inquiries and provide guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Proactively check in with clients, demonstrating genuine care for their well-being.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance client insurance coverage with additional lines of protection that align with their individual needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven work experience in sales or similar customer facing role.
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Health & Life general lines license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of job offer.
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in an outside sales position.
  • Door to door sales or business to business experience.
