Regeneron is looking for a Sales Manager – Respiratory to build and sustain a high-performance team culture aligned with our vision. You will oversee and lead a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) in the Chugoku and Shikoku area to achieve ambitious sales targets and expand our market presence.
What You'll Do
- Recruit industry-leading sales representatives (MRs).
- Conduct training for new employees in collaboration with HR and talent development programs.
- Manage MR performance in the assigned region by providing appropriate leadership and guidance.
- Provide targeted feedback, coaching, training, development plans, and talent management for direct reports.
- Identify best practices and share them across the department.
- Build effective and productive partnerships with Regeneron's alliance companies.
- Enhance Regeneron's reputation and expand relationships with key Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Ensure direct reports acquire high-level knowledge of products, competitive treatments, and market environments to maximize opportunities for market expansion.
- Provide field input to relevant headquarters departments and assign clear tactical plans to team members, ensuring their execution.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators to achieve sales and behavioral goals, making adjustments as needed.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure sales targets and profitability are achieved.
- Manage budgets across the assigned region and demonstrate ROI for investments.
- Ensure agreed-upon advocacy development plans are achieved across the region.
- Provide performance summaries to relevant business functions.
- Fully comply with industry and company procedures and applicable pharmaceutical industry codes of conduct.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, finance, economics, market research, statistics, social sciences, biological sciences, or physical sciences.
- At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related professional experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- MR certification.
- Experience in first-line management (field team oversight).
- Engagement/experience with alliances.
- Talent management and leadership abilities.
- Proven track record in account management and sales performance in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of financial tools and processes required for brand plan execution.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and develop them into business solutions.
- Strong network, influence, and personal credibility.
- Ability to plan effectively and prioritize tasks.
- High-level communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent commercial insight.
- Proficiency in IT and digital tools, with the ability to handle data, multiple systems, and CRM.
- Certification in relevant pharmaceutical industry codes of conduct.
- Willingness to travel frequently as required by this role.
- Basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Nice to Have
- Degree or equivalent education in life sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, or biology.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas (respiratory) and sales experience with biologics.
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge of therapeutic areas and competitive brands.
- Network with key opinion leaders in the respiratory field.
- English proficiency is desirable but not mandatory.

Salary ranges are provided in accordance with local law and currency (Japan for this role).
