Calix is looking for a Sales Intern for a full-time, remote summer internship. You will support the Calix sales organization by assisting with territory research, pipeline development, and customer engagement preparation. This role offers broad exposure to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations teams while you develop hands-on sales skills.
What You'll Do
- Research service providers, markets, and competitive landscapes within assigned territories.
- Support territory managers with prospect identification and account planning activities.
- Analyze CRM data to ensure accurate account, contact, and opportunity information.
- Assist with Salesforce data cleanup and enrichment to support pipeline development.
- Prepare customer-facing materials, including presentations, briefs, and account summaries.
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted outreach and Demand Generation campaigns.
- Participate in internal sales calls and customer meetings when appropriate.
- Help track activity metrics, forecast updates, and weekly territory performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand Calix solutions and customer use cases.
What We're Looking For
- Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program, working towards a Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot).
- Comfortable learning new technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
Nice to Have
- Preference will be given to juniors and seniors with previous work or internship experience.
- Salesforce or CRM experience preferred but not required.

Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly pay varies by location: San Francisco Bay Area: $23.00 - $29.90 USD; Select US Metros and States: $20.00 - $26.00 USD; Other US Locations: $18.00 - $23.40 USD
