About the Role

Univar Solutions is seeking a Sales General Manager to lead our sales team and collaborate closely with senior management to develop and execute effective sales strategies. This role is central to hitting revenue targets, nurturing client relationships, and cultivating a high-performance culture.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience in a business-to-business sales organization.
  • Experience with customer and territory management.
  • Experience and knowledge of using PC and Windows; MS Office Suite; Salesforce.com.
  • Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy.
  • Effective and engaging communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Aptitude for recognizing and monitoring market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.

Nice to Have

  • Chemical sales experience is an asset.
