Arrow ECS SAS seeks a Sales Engineering Director to lead strategy and technical direction for its Modern Infrastructure practice. You will manage a team of Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers, collaborating across practices and sales to achieve revenue and margin goals.
What You'll Do
- Recruit and hire new Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers.
- Train, develop, and mentor direct reports to effectively service Arrow suppliers, vendors, partners, and sellers.
- Act as an escalation point for the team and a floating manager to fill resource gaps.
- Present Arrow sales engineering and services value to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure teams work together to achieve assigned goals.
- Coordinate with business leaders to hit KPI targets and optimize rebates and revenue.
- Manage and track sales engineering engagement and strategic programs to drive revenue and margin.
- Strategize and execute on the Arrow Solutions Lab as a key differentiator for opportunity creation and deal closure.
- Shadow team members to provide feedback and coaching.
- Foster channel partner relationships with an emphasis on technical leadership.
- Provide technical leadership in partner interactions, sharing practice area trends and best practices.
- Drive constant improvements within the team tracked on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year basis.
- Manage direct sales, supplier/vendor, and partner relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated successful Sales Engineering leadership experience.
- Extensive industry experience with Modern Infrastructure vendor solutions, partner programs, and certifications (e.g., Dell, HPE, IBM, Commvault, Hitachi, Lenovo, VMware).
- Broad industry knowledge of hybrid cloud technologies and solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience leading the development and utilization of multi-vendor technology lab environments.
- Experience driving sales of professional, managed, and support services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting to partners, suppliers, sales teams, and direct reports.
- Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products, SalesForce, and other presentation tools.
- Up to 25% travel required.
- A “whatever it takes” attitude and motivation to assist in closing deals.

Team & Environment
You will lead a team of Sales Engineering Managers (SEMs) and Sales Engineers, with SEMs reporting directly to you. You will report to the Vice President, Sales Engineering and Services North America, with dotted line responsibility to Sales and Supplier/Vendor Management.
