Role Overview
As a Sales Engineer for Latin America, you will act as the technical bridge between prospects and internal teams, delivering clear, accurate demonstrations and solutions tailored to enterprise clients. You'll engage directly with decision-makers, translating complex technical requirements into practical implementations while ensuring alignment with regional regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact during sales cycles, leading discovery sessions, solution validation, and response to RFPs
- Deliver persuasive product demonstrations that highlight technical value and platform capabilities
- Develop sales enablement content, including technical documentation and use case scenarios for new features
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and ongoing technical alignment
- Advise on compliance, jurisdictional rules, and data governance specific to LATAM markets
- Work closely with Product to test upcoming releases and provide partner-driven feedback
- Travel when necessary to support key customer engagements and closing activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in technical sales roles at API or SaaS-first companies
- Hands-on experience with APIs, WebSockets, JSON, Postman, and Grafana
- Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese required
- Proven ability to communicate complex systems clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-driven mindset with experience shaping processes in fast-moving environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities
Preferred Background
- Experience in FinTech, Broker-Dealer environments, or financial infrastructure
- Familiarity with FIX protocol, OpenAPI, ReadMe, Metabase, or Coast
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) or Series 7 certification
- Background supporting enterprise-level deal closures alongside Account Executives
- Passion for learning about capital markets and regulatory frameworks
Work Environment
This is a globally distributed role open to candidates in supported regions. You’ll work remotely with a flexible schedule aligned to LATAM time zones, supported by a one-time $500 home office allowance and a $150 monthly stipend via Brex card.
