3M is hiring a Sales Engineer, Electrical Markets UAE (m/f/*)

About the Role

Shape the future of electrical infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates as a Sales Engineer focused on industrial and commercial markets. You will lead technical sales initiatives for low and medium voltage cable accessory solutions, working directly with engineering firms, contractors, and major utilities to expand market presence and deepen customer engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute market-specific strategies in alignment with regional trends, including infrastructure development and energy investments.
  • Engage directly with electrical contractors, EPCs, and end users to identify opportunities and drive demand through technical expertise.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers in large construction and industrial projects.
  • Collaborate across technical, marketing, and sales teams to deliver training, product demonstrations, and tailored content that highlights performance advantages.
  • Implement localized kitting strategies to improve delivery speed and support fast-moving capital projects of all scales.
  • Shift customer focus from initial price to long-term value by demonstrating reliability, ease of installation, and lifecycle savings.
  • Advance 3M’s position in utility accounts by showcasing differentiated technologies and high-performance solutions.

What You Bring

  • A verified bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical systems, especially cable terminations, joints, and accessories.
  • Proven success in acquiring new clients and managing complex sales cycles in the UAE construction or oil and gas sectors.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, with strong communication skills for technical and commercial audiences.
  • Ability to navigate multi-layered organizations using analytical insight and relationship-building.
  • A self-driven mindset with adaptability in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
  • Experience selling high-value technical products with a consultative approach.

Preferred Background

  • Experience gathering market intelligence through internal and external networks.
  • Curiosity to master technical details and translate them into customer benefits.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Work Environment

This role supports remote work with regular domestic travel (20%–30%) to meet clients and partners across the UAE. The position does not include a relocation package.

Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation includes 70% base salary and 30% performance-based incentives. Additional allowances and benefits are offered as part of a comprehensive package.
