This position supports regional sales engineering efforts with a focus on Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) technologies. The individual will deliver technical pre- and post-sales support, design solutions, manage deployments, and provide training to dealers, sales teams, and end customers. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, dealers, sales, and engineering teams to evaluate technical requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Deliver technical support before and after sales, including responding to RFIs and RFPs, designing solution architectures, and planning deployments.
- Set up, test, and deploy PoC systems and devices for demonstrations, trials, and live production environments.
- Lead or assist in the technical evaluation of sales opportunities, including participation in large direct bid processes.
- Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues by identifying root causes and recommending effective corrective actions.
- Conduct technical presentations, live product demonstrations, webinars, and provide support during trade shows.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for designated products, delivering training to internal teams including Sales, Sales Engineers, Technical Support, and Marketing.
- Design and deliver training programs and certification materials for dealers through Hytera University.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, system guides, and deployment resources for end users.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to Product Management to enhance product functionality and improve customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solutions Engineering within telecommunications, two-way radio, PoC/PTT, or networking environments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver professional presentations and live product demos to technical and non-technical audiences independently.
- Strong customer-facing skills with a proven ability to translate technical features into tangible business benefits.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements and team meetings.
Nice to Have
- In-depth understanding of Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC), LTE/5G integration, dispatch platforms, and associated device ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Android OS and experience using debugging tools.
- Solid foundation in networking concepts including IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls, QoS, VPNs, routing and switching, and Wi-Fi/cellular convergence.
- Hands-on experience with DMR Tier II and Tier III radio technologies.
- Exposure to mobile application development for Android or iOS, light scripting, or database management.
- Strong analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills in technical environments.

Compensation
$80,000–$110,000 depending on experience and geographic location.
