Twilio is hiring a Sales Development Representative for its Twilio.org division. In this role, you will drive net new customer acquisition and solution selling within nonprofit SMB accounts, focusing on the social impact market including community & social services, healthcare, education, and the public sector.
What You'll Do
- Drive lead qualification and nurturing of Twilio.org’s named account customers within social impact sectors.
- Be responsible for net new customer acquisition and driving new revenue while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements and design a solution using Twilio’s communications API platform.
- Continually add net new contacts to Salesforce for existing accounts.
- Work with cross-functional internal teams to address customer requirements, advise on digital communication strategies, and help customers get started.
- Be an owner to drive deals forward, remove obstacles, find the best solution for each customer, and recommend process improvements.
- Develop expertise in the social impact and nonprofit market to help prospective customers understand how others are leveraging Twilio.
- Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals simultaneously.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of lead generating experience in a technical SaaS/CPaaS space, with a record of top performance.
- An understanding of, or interest in, the cloud computing/communications business model and excitement for selling to a technical audience with a solution-oriented approach.
- Deep personal interest in the social impact market and dedicating your career to making a positive difference.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and financial details.
- Technical solutions selling experience – including closing experience – and enjoys working with customers to solve their problems.
- High adaptability, comfort trying new things and building within a rapid-paced environment, and comfort with ambiguity and change.
Nice to Have
- Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, German and/or French to help support international customers.
- Based in Eastern or Central time zone.

- Compensation: Hourly rates vary by location: Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota or Vermont: $25.29/hr - $31.59; Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay Area): $26.74 - $33.37; New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $28.08 - $35.10. This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan.
