Hologram is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage U.S. payroll operations with precision. This is a part-time position ideal for a self-motivated professional who takes ownership and thrives in a high-accountability environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end U.S. payroll processing on a bi-weekly or semi-monthly schedule using platforms like ADP Workforce Now or Gusto.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including withholdings, deductions, and filings.
- Maintain and validate employee data for accuracy before each payroll run.
- Manage benefit deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and commissions.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, prepare post-payroll reports, and assist with month-end close entries.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally.
- Support year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Partner with Finance and HR to ensure alignment between payroll and accounting systems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure data integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience processing U.S. payroll across multiple states.
- Hands-on expertise with ADP Workforce Now and/or Gusto.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR.
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll laws, tax compliance, benefits administration, and wage/hour regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- High integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing deliverables independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- CPP certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with additional payroll platforms a plus.
