WATI.io was looking for a Sales Development Representative - LATAM

WATI is looking for a Sales Development Representative based in Brazil, Mexico, or another Latin American country to support our expansion in the region. In this key role, you will accelerate growth across LATAM by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities. You’ll join a fast-growing global team of passionate professionals who believe every conversation matters.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and research potential customers through inbound channels, qualifying leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile.
  • Execute region-specific strategies to grow Wati’s footprint in LATAM, contributing directly to sales pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Communicate with prospects via email, phone, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings to understand their needs and educate them on Wati’s value proposition.
  • Work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to hand off qualified leads, provide market insights, and optimize campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in the CRM system and share regular updates with the regional team.
  • Test new outreach tactics, gather market feedback, and help shape go-to-market messaging for the region.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role—preferably in SaaS or tech.
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM market and experience working with businesses in the region.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, with intermediate-level English for internal communication.
  • Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or other CRMs.
  • Consultative sales mindset, resilience in handling objections, and curiosity to constantly learn and adapt.
  • Passion for showing how automation and conversational experiences via WhatsApp can transform customer engagement for SMBs and enterprises.

Nice to Have

  • Background as an SDR or Account Executive in SaaS with a focus on conversational marketing.
