TAG Software Group is hiring a Sales Development Representative to join our growing Canadian sales team. In this remote role, you will generate new sales opportunities by qualifying inbound leads, sourcing outbound prospects, and re-engaging existing contacts.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify potential clients within government sectors at Federal, Provincial/State, and Municipal levels across North America.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through market research, cold outreach, and email campaigns.
- Initiate contact with prospects, assess their needs, and schedule introductory meetings.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted strategies to convert leads into customers.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and procurement practices relevant to vertical market software.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with the product team to inform development.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions in the CRM system.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of sales experience.
- A track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Solid grasp of the sales cycle.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong skills in research and lead generation.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Nice to Have
- Experience in software sales, particularly within government or regulated industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Bonus if you have worked within public procurement.
