Lumana is hiring a Sales Development Representative to help drive top-of-funnel pipeline and connect our AI video security solutions with the right customers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves to experiment, and takes pride in building meaningful prospect connections.
What You'll Do
- Own outbound prospecting and lead generation for Lumana’s go-to-market team.
- Turn top-of-funnel outreach into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through thoughtful outreach and qualification.
- Take ownership of top-of-funnel pipeline and partner closely with Account Executives to build territory strategies.
- Track and report on outbound metrics including email open rates, call connect rates, and meeting conversions to inform experimentation.
- Build and iterate outbound email, call, and LinkedIn campaigns using ZoomInfo, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Follow and improve upon the Lumana Playbook with feedback and data.
- Develop expertise in key verticals (e.g., education, healthcare, retail) or regions based on assigned territory coverage.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to align on persona targeting, campaign timing, and messaging feedback loops.
- Relay voice-of-customer insights to product, marketing, and sales leadership to inform positioning and roadmap decisions.
- Consistently document activity and progress in Salesforce.
- Maintain high activity and performance levels to hit monthly and quarterly lead targets.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a Sales, SDR, or BDR role in a B2B tech environment.
- Proven success using a multi-channel outbound approach (email, phone, LinkedIn, video, etc.).
- Experience using AI or automation tools to enhance prospecting efficiency (e.g., Lavender, Gong, ChatGPT prompts, etc.).
- Highly comfortable operating with outreach tools: Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote or hybrid team environment.
- Resilient — you don’t get discouraged by rejection, and you know how to bounce back.
- Experience working within a defined sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler, Challenger).
- Demonstrated ability to balance volume with personalization in outreach.
- Desire to grow into a closing role over time.
- Driven by metrics and open to feedback.
