CHS Inc. is looking for a part-time Senior Wholesale Equipment Sales Representative to join our Energy Equipment team. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets and developing new business while maintaining and growing relationships with established customers. This role focuses on managing a book of business, conducting outbound sales, and performing essential account maintenance.
What You'll Do
- Contact largest assigned accounts and prospects to sell products within your territory.
- Secure and maintain product distribution and effective customer agreements.
- Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals for supervisor review.
- Participate in special projects like major promotions and new product launches.
- Perform customer service and account maintenance duties for stable customer markets.
- Sell and assist in managing a book of business.
- Partner with customers to solve product and service needs, tailoring supplier solutions.
- Use product knowledge to market and sell value-added programs and services.
- Partner with peers to gain supply, marketing, and regulatory knowledge.
- Monitor market trends and use intelligence to effectively forecast and sell.
- Contact and qualify prospective new customer leads for the sales team.
- Partner with team members and attend events to achieve sales goals.
- Assist peers with their customer needs.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, and/or Sales Business Operations.
- High School diploma or GED.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Outside sales experience including presentations, persuasive negotiation, customer service, conflict resolution, and working independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, which may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical, and FMSCA Clearinghouse checks, as required.
