Valvoline Global Operations is hiring a Route Driver to deliver top-tier service and support across the Indianapolis area. In this hands-on role, you will distribute batteries and products, maintain inventory, and ensure customer satisfaction by driving a company truck within a defined territory.
What You'll Do
- Deliver new and used batteries (cores) and ancillary products.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with battery testing equipment.
- Maintain battery inventories, PAR levels, rotations, warranties, and warehouse organization.
- Drive within the safety parameters set by VCA and Valvoline.
- Run data reports to assess performance and find opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with service locations and store management to exceed their inventory and service needs.
- Meet service, supply, and budgetary goals set by the Territory Manager.
- Maintain all required company logs, records, and reports daily.
- Keep the company vehicle in proper appearance and condition.
- Act as a back-up service route manager for other regions as required.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of Sales or Account Management experience.
- Warehousing, inventory, or stock control experience.
- Delivery route experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to withstand daily exposure to noise from traffic, cell phones, etc.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be based in the Indianapolis, IN area and be willing to travel up to 80% of the time with 2-4 overnights per month.
Nice to Have
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous automobile battery delivery experience.
- Customer Service Certificate.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to a Territory Manager and operate with significant autonomy while serving as a key link between Valvoline and its service locations.

Work Mode
This is a local, city-based role requiring travel within and around Indianapolis, IN.
