Apt Resources is hiring a Rough Diamond Evaluator for a critical role at a mining site in Angola. You will specialize in assessing and valuing rough diamonds, directly contributing to accurate inventory reporting and management.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough examinations of rough diamonds using gemological instruments
- Grade diamonds based on the 4Cs framework: Carat, Color, Clarity, and Cut potential
- Determine the estimated market value of rough diamonds using comprehensive market analysis and pricing data
- Maintain detailed records of diamond evaluations and grading results for daily reports
- Work with geologists, mining engineers, and security personnel to ensure secure handling and transport
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in assessing, grading, and valuing rough diamonds
- Deep practical knowledge of the 4Cs grading framework as applied to rough stones
- Strong analytical skills for market valuation using current pricing data
- Experience with gemological instruments for diamond examination
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and produce accurate daily reports
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with diverse site teams
