Paired is looking for a Road Bike Components Buyer for a US-based bike shop specializing in high-quality road bike components. In this remote role, you will use your passion for cycling and industry expertise to make informed purchasing decisions that meet shop and customer needs.
What You'll Do
- Research, evaluate, and select road bike components to purchase from suppliers.
- Maintain current knowledge of cycling trends, technology, and market demand.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure the best deals for the shop.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory management team.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align purchasing decisions with promotional activities.
- Gather feedback from customers and staff regarding product quality and performance.
- Analyze sales data to forecast demand and make strategic buying decisions.
What We're Looking For
- A strong passion for road cycling and comprehensive knowledge of bike components.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying in the cycling or sporting goods industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
- Ability to analyze data and forecast trends effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
