The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring an RN Poison Control Specialist to provide expert clinical information and treatment recommendations for toxic exposures. You will be a critical resource for healthcare providers and the public, supporting the health and safety of Arkansans.
What You'll Do
- Provide information and treatment advice to callers regarding toxic or potentially toxic exposures.
- Create and update electronic medical records for all inquiries.
- Provide educational information on toxic substances and drug substances to callers.
- Assist in the education and instruction of professional students and residents.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Valid RN license.
- Ability to follow oral instructions, read, write, and be proficient on the computer.
Nice to Have
- RN with Emergency Department or Critical Care experience.
- New graduates with past LPN experience in ED or Critical Care are preferred.
