Corewell Health is looking for a Weekend Program RN to join our collaborative care team. This role provides professional nursing care on a 20-bed pediatric and adult overflow med/surg unit, serving a patient population ranging from infants to older adults. You will be a core part of our weekend program, working 48 out of 52 weekends with shifts spanning from Friday afternoon through Monday morning.

What You'll Do

Utilize the nursing process framework to provide patient-family centered care, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging.
Deliver quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
Partner with patients and their families, incorporating their input and goals into the plan of care.
Develop and document effective teaching strategies for patients and families within the health record.

What We're Looking For

Associates in Nursing is required.
Commitment to obtain a Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years.
For graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing: at least one year of acute care experience OR at least two years in a licensed health care role, plus successful passing of the NCLEX.
Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Team & Environment

You will join a team on a 20-bed unit, reporting to the Nurse Leader. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift for regular med/surg patients, with higher acuity pediatric patients potentially at a 1:3 ratio.

This is an onsite position at SITE - Lakeland Hospital St Joseph - 1234 Napier Ave - St Joseph.
