Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is hiring a Registered Nurse for a casual position on the 8C Surgical/Trauma Unit at Allegheny General Hospital. You will be responsible and accountable for a designated patient population, providing care based on the nursing process within a collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage and be accountable for a designated patient population by enacting the full nursing process.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient care planning skills.
- Provide safe, effective care for the age population served, meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Professionally direct and manage patient care delivery activities performed by team members.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on the patient's plan of care from admission through discharge.
- Assess learning needs of patients and families, providing education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification.
- 1+ year of Registered Nurse experience.
Team & Environment
You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team for patient care planning and delivery.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at Allegheny General Hospital.
