OCBC Bank is seeking a Risk Manager, Collateral Risk Management to evaluate and develop methodologies for collateral haircuts and derivative margining. In this role, you will enhance risk analytics, lead product reviews, and provide critical advisory to Senior Management. What You'll Do
- Evaluate and develop collateral haircut and derivative margining methodology, including documentation, and enhance risk analytics and model implementation.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork with Front Office and stakeholders to deepen risk awareness and assist with risk mitigation strategies.
- Liaise and advise Front Office, stakeholders, and senior management on lending risk management decisions and action plans.
- Provide advisory to Senior Management on Collateral Risk Management, specifically on Product, Market, Regulatory, and Strategic Risk matters.
- Participate in and lead the product review and approval process as part of the Functional Specialist Working Group.
- Identify and mitigate gaps in current practices, processes, and policies.
- Streamline and tighten existing BAU controls to ensure market best practices are observed.
- Perform process reengineering/reviews to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
- Partake in re-engineering processes as part of the bank's digital transformation journey, including change initiatives and projects.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree, preferably in quantitative finance, financial engineering, financial risk management, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in market risk analytics or collateral evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of financial products across asset classes, including investment products, derivatives, and structured products, with securities and collateralized lending experience.
- Experience in financial instrument valuation, margining, and risk models.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse, cross-entity teams and multi-stakeholders.
- Maturity and experience to deal effectively with senior managers, regulators, and executive committee members.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficient IT skills, including Python/SQL, MS Office Suite, Bloomberg/Refinitiv, Margin Man, and Numerix.
Nice to Have
- Private banking and wealth management experience.
- Good working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Power BI.
- Strong Project Management skills, such as Agile/Scrum, and experience in data science and advanced analytics.
