About the Role

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Risk Analyst to play a key part in shaping risk strategy and ensuring operational integrity across payroll systems and transactions. In this remote role, you will conduct in-depth investigations, build and refine risk policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough company reviews, payroll monitoring, and investigative processes with accuracy and clear communication.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk policies, processes, and training materials to strengthen operational resilience.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance risk management tools, workflows, and system capabilities.
  • Identify, escalate, and document potential fraud cases, coordinating with compliance, legal, and operational teams.
  • Continuously assess existing processes, driving improvements that increase efficiency, reduce exposure, and enhance decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in risk or fraud investigation, fintech analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex investigations end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external interactions.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to improve processes and adopt new tools.
  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours and attend the annual 3-day company offsite.

Nice to Have

  • SQL knowledge is a plus but not required.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Competitive salary: $90,000–$100,000 in San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle; $76,500–$86,500 in other locations.
