Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process: send welcome emails and ensure all new-hire paperwork is completed accurately and filed promptly
- Follow the onboarding checklist, process background checks, and E-Verify promptly
- Create and set up Workday accounts and benefits for new employees if needed
- Process employee terminations and updating the corresponding departments
- Maintain accurate digital and physical employee files in a consistent and organized manner to ensure easy retrieval
- Update Workday and all other platforms with correct employee information, including job and salary changes
- Understand and help apply company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
- Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining guides and SOPs for Key HR processes
- Serve as a friendly liaison between employees and the benefits team, applying basic benefits knowledge to assist with employee questions regarding insurance and perks
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual benefit audits and assist with benefits-related projects
- Assist the payroll team by auditing absence, and hourly timesheets as needed and providing employees with pay slips or W-2s upon request
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must demonstrate basic proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization
- A genuine passion for helping employees; serving the team is the top priority
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with absolute discretion and integrity
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A personable and empathetic demeanor to effectively manage and nurture employee relationships
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with HR software like Workday
