Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is hiring a Risk Analyst to analyze corporate risk levels by collecting, manipulating, and modeling exposure data. You will use catastrophe modeling software and SQL to support risk management, underwriting, reinsurance, and actuarial objectives.
What You'll Do
- Analyze insured location exposure data in catastrophe models simulating extreme events to calculate expected losses.
- Extract and summarize model output to create reports and exhibits for corporate risk management, business leaders, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain exposure data capture and manipulation processes using SQL, spreadsheets, and other database tools.
- Support the validation, update, and enhancement of proprietary catastrophe risk and exposure tools.
- Extract and prepare data from corporate systems to build exposure profiles and loss reports supporting reinsurance treaty placements.
- Assist in reporting catastrophe loss estimates and exposure data to rating agencies, regulatory authorities, and other external entities.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects involving catastrophe modeling, exposure profiling, or providing catastrophe risk guidance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 0-6 years of experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Prior insurance experience in areas such as actuarial, science, engineering, finance, underwriting, or reinsurance.

- Typical base salary range: $71,000 – $155,000; $90,000 - $162,000 for San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area.
