DaVita is looking for a Revenue Specialist I to join our Revenue Operations (ROPS) team. This role performs critical revenue cycle duties, ensuring the accurate submission of insurance claims and collection of payments for dialysis services, all within our 'community first, company second' culture.
What You'll Do
- Perform duties related to medical insurance billing, collections, or patient access.
- Communicate with insurance payers to verify patient coverage and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Review and submit system setup requests to ensure accurate center and payer information is loaded for billing.
- Respond to payer communications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with other revenue operations teams to ensure seamless cross-team processes.
- Partner with clinic teammates such as Insurance Counselors, Social Workers, and Facility Administrators to maintain timely and accurate patient insurance data.
- Help identify process changes and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain current patient account information at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.
- May be asked to work overtime as needed.
- Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed.
- Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
