Stanford Health Care is hiring a Revenue Cycle Optimization Program Manager to develop and execute initiatives that increase net revenue, accelerate cashflow, and reduce costs. In this remote role, you will lead performance improvement across the revenue cycle, analyzing workflows and recommending system improvements.
What You'll Do
- Direct individuals and teams leading performance improvement using lean methodology for the mid-revenue cycle.
- Develop and manage improvement activities by engaging teams, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership for large strategic initiatives, cross-functional workflow issues, and complex rapid improvement events focused on value stream analysis and waste reduction.
- Lead project training teams and provide mentoring support in root cause analysis, discovery workshops, and data interpretation.
- Deliver continuous improvement practices to Revenue Cycle Leadership and staff, providing subject-matter expertise.
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure appropriate project management and data analytics are utilized.
- Establish baseline data, implement monitoring measures, and capture ROI for all improvement initiatives.
- Manage and facilitate process improvement teams, directing timely completion of multiple projects and Kaizen events.
- Serve as a Revenue Cycle methodology and systems expert, applying multiple performance improvement tools to complex solutions.
- Monitor organizational KPIs, perform operational data analysis, and align improvement efforts with strategic goals.
- Promote a culture of performance excellence, quality, high-reliability, and staff engagement.
- Present information to diverse audiences with clarity and impact.
- Manage difficult situations and conduct crucial conversations with maturity.
- Develop executive-level presentations and status reports for senior revenue cycle leadership.
- Deliver presentations on programs and initiatives to various audience levels.
- Provide ongoing status of past and present project initiatives and realized benefits.
- Participate in the team intake process for project requests, assessing approval, benefits, and prioritization.
- Drive meaningful and impactful change to key KPIs.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a work-related discipline.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related mid-revenue cycle work experience.
- EPIC experience is required.
- Knowledge of health care industry trends related to the patient experience.
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle industry trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of the patient, family, and caregiver path through the health system to identify key pain points.
- Proficient knowledge of the Epic system and its operational aspects.
- Experience in facilitating multi-disciplinary teams to determine solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive verbal and written information.
- Ability to analyze operational problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups at all levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively and act as a thought leader at all organizational levels.

This role reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Optimization. You will collaborate with School of Medicine Directors of Finance and Administration, SHC, Stanford Medicine-Partners, Tri-Valley Hospital and Ambulatory Directors, IT, and various SHC Revenue Cycle Leadership.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation generally starts at $74.73 - $99.04 per hour.
