Position Summary
The Retirement Plan Services Internal Sales Consultant plays a key role in driving sales growth and maintaining robust client relationships within our Retirement Plan Services Team.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to handle proposal requests from prospective clients, including participating in initial discovery calls
• Conduct comprehensive research and in-depth analyses of potential and current retirement plan clients, including detailed comparisons and benchmarking of fees, services, and investment options
• Develop a deep understanding of competitor landscapes and craft strategic positioning for our solutions
• Create and customize proposal presentations for the sales team based on thorough analytical findings
• Provide expert responses to technical product and competitive positioning inquiries
• Coordinate comprehensive client review materials, managing both internal processes and external vendor interactions
• Offer proactive and responsive support for existing client relationships
• Facilitate new retirement plan business onboarding, addressing compliance requirements and managing external vendor relationships
• Stay current on industry trends, legislative changes, and regulatory updates, translating complex information for client communication
• Collaborate with team members to identify and recommend process and service level improvements
Education & Experience
Knowledge of:
• Exceptional oral and written communication capabilities
• Advanced analytical skills for processing and interpreting complex data sets
• Current retirement plan industry trends, regulations, and operational frameworks
Ability to:
• Effectively multi-task and work autonomously
• Maintain high efficiency with minimal errors
• Make decisions under consistent time pressures
• Dynamically prioritize shifting tasks
Education and Training:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years retirement plan service experience preferred
• Comprehensive working knowledge of retirement plan laws and regulations
• Commitment to ongoing industry training and continuing education
• Relevant retirement plan industry credentials/designations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
• Experienced with various virtual meeting platforms
Compensation and Benefits
Salary offered is based on job duties, qualifications, relevant experience, and local market trends. Role may include bonus or performance-based incentives.
(Base Pay Range: $53,000-$65,000 annually)
