Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Responsible Deputy Team Leader for CQ Physico-Chemical Finished Products in Toulouse. In this deputy role, you will support the team manager in ensuring all laboratory activities meet quality, cost, timeline, safety, and regulatory objectives. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and directly managing a team of technicians.

What You'll Do

  • Manage physico-chemical analyses in collaboration with planning and the Finished Products manager.
  • Validate control results in the LIMS for finished product dossiers.
  • Act as backup for the Finished Products team leader in their absence.
  • Proactively participate in the laboratory's continuous improvement plan and operational processes.
  • Drive team performance and activity monitoring through PSQDC levels 1 and 2 with the Finished Products team leaders.
  • Process quality events within deadlines (OOX, Deviation, CAPA, event).
  • Directly manage 5-10 technicians.
  • Provide on-site management, including scientific and technical support, for all technicians in the Finished Products team.
  • Manage technical versatility among team members and oversee skill authorizations.
  • Ensure the application of safety rules, lead safety dialogues, and support teams in implementing PASS plan actions.
  • Participate in the recruitment of temporary staff and manage the training and mentoring of new technicians.
  • Participate in the revision and updating of documentation for the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Higher scientific education at the Bac +5 / Master's level with technical skills in analytical chemistry.
  • Knowledge of physico-chemical analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of GMP and pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur. and USP).
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a pharmaceutical environment.

Team & Environment

This is a deputy role within the Finished Products Physico-Chemical Control team. You will report to the Finished Products Physico-Chemical Control Manager and be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 technicians.
