Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Respiratory Therapist Neonatal Transport to deliver critical respiratory care services for patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You'll provide clinical expertise in the NICU, Delivery Room, and during patient transport.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room, and transport settings
- Perform ongoing respiratory assessments and reassessments, and develop plans of care
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Participate in department projects, teamwork, and continuing education
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care required within 12 months of hire or transfer
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) from the American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Nice to Have
- Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care as an RRT
- Two years’ experience in pulmonary or respiratory medicine within a hospital setting
