DaVita, which is Italian for 'giving life', is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential, empathetic care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an outpatient dialysis center, building meaningful long-term relationships with patients and their families.
What You'll Do
- Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their family in an intimate outpatient setting.
- Work as part of a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
- Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities, which requires unique treatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to conduct patient observations, measure stats, and manage machine set up.
- Work with your head, heart and hands each day in a fast paced environment.
- Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or a three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for the nursing degree.
Nice to Have
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
