Optiv is looking for a Resource Manager to join our AFC (Advanced Fusion Center) division. This critical role enables high-performance cyber operations by ensuring our teams are optimally staffed, aligned to mission priorities, and supported with proactive, data-driven insights. You'll partner closely with AFC leadership, PMO, RMO, and Finance to enhance visibility, improve forecasting accuracy, mature operational processes, and enable efficient delivery of cyber services.
What You'll Do
- Oversee planning and monitor allocation of AFC operational resources across multidisciplinary cyber teams including SOC, MDR, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, and Automation.
- Manage complex, multi-domain, multi-vendor resourcing needs within the AFC.
- Collaborate with AFC leadership, PMO, RMO, Delivery, and Operations to ensure optimal staffing meets business demand.
- Maintain visibility into staff availability, skillsets, and future pipeline demand.
- Maximize utilization while balancing operational resiliency, on-call commitments, and workload equity.
- Lead operational cadence for AFC resourcing: forecasting cycles, capacity planning, staffing reviews, and risk assessments.
- Provide cost modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to support AFC growth.
- Oversee subcontractor and third-party resource engagement in coordination with RMO and vendor management.
- Build and maintain dashboards to support decision-making and trend analysis.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data across all AFC personnel, including holiday weeks, training, on-call schedules, and project assignments.
- Provide data-driven insights into skills gaps, hiring priorities, and operational trends.
- Facilitate staffing and interlock meetings across AFC, PMO, and delivery teams.
- Mentor team members involved in AFC staffing and operations.
- Adapt resource plans based on security event volume, emerging threats, and client priorities.
What We're Looking For

- Experience in a professional services organization.
- Experience in recruiting or working with vendors, staffing agencies, or sub-contractors.
- 2-4 years of resource management experience or knowledge/training in Human Resources laws and regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of broad Information Security experience.
- Experience tracking candidates in electronic applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and leading team members.
