Astronomer is hiring a Resident Solutions Architect, Infrastructure to join our field team on the East Coast. As a customer-facing technical expert in this pre-sales role, you will solve complex business problems by enabling customers to scale their data operations with Apache Airflow and Astronomer's products.
What You'll Do
- Implement Astronomer's software and services within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Guide our largest and most complex customers through their Apache Airflow adoption and scaling.
- Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product teams to ensure solutions deliver value and solve pain points.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a data infrastructure or equivalent role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift preferred).
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go.
- Good understanding of network complexities and architectures.
- Expertise as a Terminal and CLI user in hands-on, often GUI-less environments.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Experience operating complex SaaS infrastructure at scale.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider's API and tooling.
- Cloud-native data architecture experience.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues succinctly.
Nice to Have
- 1+ year in a dedicated customer-facing role.
- Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect.
- Enterprise data experience in regulated environments.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting/automation tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Prometheus, or Vault.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 + equity
