Role Overview
As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cloud and platform engineering strategies for clients. You'll combine technical depth with consulting acumen to guide solution design, lead project execution, and support pre-sales efforts. This position demands a strong grasp of cloud-native ecosystems and the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the client lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead implementation of platform engineering solutions, delivering hands-on consulting services tailored to client needs.
- Assess business requirements and recommend cloud-native architectures across public cloud and container platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and consulting teams to ensure solutions align with industry standards and operational best practices.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to define project scope, estimate effort, and identify expansion opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through technical engagement and strategic advisory.
- Develop proof of concepts that demonstrate value and validate technical approaches.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, shaping new service offerings and refining existing methodologies.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and observability.
- Share insights on partner technologies and advancements impacting cloud-native landscapes.
- Document enterprise use cases to support go-to-market initiatives and solution positioning.
- Support strategic accounts through active participation in consulting engagements and long-term client partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven consulting experience with hands-on work in cloud-native platforms, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes environments, including managed services such as EKS, AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tooling, with familiarity in Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, or Harness.
- Experience implementing observability frameworks using OpenTelemetry (OTEL) and related tools.
- Familiarity with K8s operators and platform extensions like Cilium and Crossplane.
- AWS certification as a Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer is required.
- Minimum of 5 years working with cloud compute, networking, and storage services.
- Proficiency in monitoring and managing cloud operations using native and third-party tools.
- Strong scripting ability in Python, Ruby, or GoLang.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Consultative approach to client interactions, with strong listening and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead technical discovery sessions, gather requirements, and synthesize findings into actionable plans.
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, test plans, and as-built records.
- Adaptability to shifting demands and deadlines in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Backstage or similar internal developer portal platforms.
