Responsibilities
- Lead research in neural network architecture to pioneer advancements in alternative models such as state space models, efficient transformers, and hybrid designs.
- Create new model architectures that enhance quality, inference speed, and flexibility for use in cloud and on-device settings.
- Investigate and implement features like statefulness, long-range memory, and novel conditioning methods to improve model expressiveness and generalization.
- Analyze how architectural choices affect trade-offs in scalability, robustness, latency, and energy consumption.
- Build evaluation frameworks and tools to test and benchmark architectural innovations in both research and production contexts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement research findings into scalable, real-world systems.
