NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is hiring a Research Fellow

About the Role

NTU is looking for a Research Fellow to join a project investigating the complex interactions between the environment, microbes, and human health. This role focuses specifically on understanding how biofilms change under pressure.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement rigorous studies to investigate environment-microbe-human interactions.
  • Conduct wet-lab experiments.
  • Perform in-depth, critical data analysis.
  • Communicate findings through presentations and high-quality journal publications.
  • Assist in supervising research students within the group.

What We're Looking For

  • A PhD degree in microbiology, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Python, Linux, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
  • Experience conducting wet-lab experiments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with group members and external partners.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • The ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision.

Nice to Have

  • A strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
