The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus’s Colorado School of Public Health is hiring a Biostatistician/Bioinformatician at the Research (Sr.) Instructor rank for its Center for Innovative Design and Analysis (CIDA). This role focuses on the analysis of omics data—including genetic, microbiome, epigenetic, proteomic, and metabolomic data—within biomedical research. You will consult and collaborate with investigators throughout the entire research lifecycle, from initial study design to the dissemination of findings.
What You'll Do
- Work with investigators to design new studies, determine appropriate sample sizes, develop analysis plans, and ensure robust methodologies.
- Oversee data management, including pre-processing and integration of complex datasets.
- Implement and optimize complex programming techniques using R and Python for exploratory data analysis, modeling, and downstream analysis.
- Create data visualizations and contribute to disseminating findings by co-authoring abstracts, presentations, and scientific manuscripts.
- Provide high-level design and analysis support under doctoral-level biostatisticians/bioinformaticians, while also mentoring junior researchers and graduate research assistants as needed.

- Expertise in statistical and bioinformatic methods for complex data.
- Strong proficiency in programming for data analysis, specifically with R and Python.
- Experience collaborating on research projects from design through publication.
