What You'll Do
Deliver hands-on training and conduct data analysis sessions using bioinformatics software for Next Generation Sequencing applications, both remotely and in person. Support customers through the full lifecycle of software adoption, from initial setup to advanced data interpretation. Respond promptly to technical inquiries via phone and email, diagnosing and resolving complex analysis challenges.
Collaborate with the Customer Success team to address difficult cases and improve support workflows. Participate in pre-sales discussions when specialized knowledge is needed, helping clients understand how bioinformatics tools can meet their research goals. Travel regularly within the Midwest region and occasionally beyond to support customer needs.
Requirements
Hold a postgraduate degree in Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant training and at least 3–5 years of professional experience will be considered. Demonstrate direct experience analyzing NGS data in academic or industry settings. Have a proven background in customer-facing technical roles within the genomics space, with strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
Must be able to travel frequently—minimum 50% of the time—and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Capable of transporting equipment weighing up to 20 pounds when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in clinical oncology applications using NGS platforms
- Experience in the life sciences industry
- Familiarity with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce
