Phiture is looking for a Research Assistant to join the In Tandem initiative. This part-time role supports a Researcher-in-Residence on a focused project about teens, technology, and well-being. You will help triangulate youth voice insights with existing research by conducting literature reviews and managing project logistics.
What You'll Do
- Conduct focused literature reviews and prepare annotated bibliographies, synthesizing findings from qualitative and quantitative research.
- Manage research documentation and coordinate data collection processes for interviews and focus groups.
- Provide IRB support as needed.
- Provide qualitative research support, including transcript review, content analysis, and memo writing.
What We're Looking For
- Background in psychology, developmental science, adolescent development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of applied research experience in a graduate assistantship or professional setting.
- Experience coordinating and managing research project logistics, including organizing documentation, tracking timelines, and managing IRB processes.
- Strong ability to critically read, synthesize, and distill findings from qualitative and quantitative research literature.
- Excellent written communication and synthesis skills.
- Experience with or demonstrated ability to quickly learn collaborative digital tools like Miro and Notion.
- Genuine interest in understanding and amplifying young people's perspectives, agency, and well-being.
Nice to Have
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field.
- Experience conducting research with adolescents.
- Familiarity with thematic analysis.
