About the Role

This full-time fixed-term role supports critical research into infectious disease transmission between animals and humans. Based at a leading academic institution, the position plays a key part in advancing understanding of influenza A virus dynamics in animal populations through hands-on laboratory and administrative work.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and process biological samples to study how influenza A spreads within animal groups
  • Enter and manage research data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support the development and delivery of biosecurity training materials
  • Collaborate on grant proposals and funding applications
  • Maintain regular contact with study participants and partners
  • Assist with programming tasks related to swine health data analysis

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • No prior professional experience is required; on-the-job training provided
